Board Member.
Madison Barron is a Board Member of the McGilton Advocacy Group, and as such, she assists in furthering the organization’s efforts to promote government transparency, civic engagement, and building stronger community ties. Originally from Somerset, Kentucky, Barron works towards her undergraduate studies at Morehead State University, devoted to earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Justice and a minor in Social Work.
During her university years, Barron has grown interested in a variety of social problems facing individuals, families, and communities. In the process of completing her studies, she has developed an interest in advocacy, community engagement, and resource provision to help better the lot of those around her. She intends to pursue a master’s degree in Social Work and obtain her social work license.
As a board member, Barron contributes her passion for public service and advocacy work to the organization. Her dedication to empowering communities and fostering greater civic engagement aligns with the mission of the McGilton Advocacy Group.
