Columnist and Environmental Advocate.
Columnist & Environmental Advocate at McGilton Advocacy Group, Austin Tyler Balukin provides research, analysis and advocacy for topics including environmental stewardship, community wellness, and civic engagement. He developed a great appreciation for environmental causes through living on the coast, and has taken up public advocacy efforts specifically dealing with the concerns of marine ecosystems, coastlines, and future preservation of natural environments. Having lived on the Gulf Coast during the devastation of Hurricane Michael he saw the destructive force of nature that could significantly affect and impact one's home, and with that knowledge he committed himself to environmental awareness and advocacy.
Throughout Austin’s life, he has always had a passion for writing and advocacy. This led him to wanting to educate others on causes that can impact both communities and society as a whole, by contributing to the McGilton Advocacy Group in helping to develop informative materials and contribute to public awareness of pressing concerns. Working with Christian McGilton, Lelyn Chestnut, and the rest of the McGilton Advocacy Group, Austin is working to contribute to an informed, connected and engaged community.
